Donation

Your financial gift (regardless of the amount!) helps First Unitarian engage in compassionate action by answering the call of love in Fanwood, Plainfield, Union County and beyond.

There are many ways to give:

Pledging —
means you are making a commitment to donate on a regular basis; weekly, monthly, quarterly or annually. Your pledge payment provides First Unitarian with a reliable resource that supports our congregation and our mission through our annual budget. The pledge campaign for the 2020/21 budget year  (July 2020 – June 2021) is happening now!

Planned Giving —
helps provides a lasting legacy. Planned giving can be accomplished in several ways, one-time cash or stock donation to the endowment or the various restricted funds, or by deferred giving, a bequest or setting up a charitable trust directed as you see fit. Please talk to your financial counselor and any member of the Board of Trustees.

Occasional Gifts —
provide for special outreach. The Minister’s Discretionary Fund is used to help those members of the congregation or of the community who have an immediate emergency financial need. The Food Pantry provides groceries to those who qualify for assistance once a month. There are many other occasional ways that First Unitarian provides a helping hand to those in Union County who are the most vulnerable.  Please let us know how you would like your gift to be used.
