Living Our Dreams, a reflection from Rev. Ann Marie

It has been tough times for those of us who are liberal progressives.  Wave after wave of events that could leave even the most upbeat person anxious and depressed.  It is in times like these that the stuff of dreams can be called on to do their magic and give us hope for a better tomorrow.  First Unitarian, a congregation that is shrinking in numbers is facing its own time of impending transition that could leave many worried and sad.  I invite you to imagine how this story could be told…. Living Our Dreams 10152017

Welcome from Rev. Ann Marie

Welcome to our new website!  We hope your visit will give you a sense of what First Unitarian is all about.  As you look around you will see that we are a place for the practice of liberal religion.  We care about each other and we care about our neighbors.  Please join us any Sunday at 10 am for an hour of reflection and renewal.

(Nursery care is always available!)

As you look around you will also see that we host many Plainfield arts and activist events right here at 725 Park Avenue.  Check out our calendar to find an event you can attend.

I hope this website will help you to learn who we are and why!  Our current mission statement puts it this way:

The First Unitarian Society of Plainfield is a welcoming, inclusive community to feed the human spirit, to inspire compassionate action, and to serve as a beacon of justice and love.

We’d love to welcome you and your family!
