On May 23rd, 2021, at the annual meeting of First Unitarian NJ the congregation unanimously passed a resolution adopting an eighth principle, in addition to the existing seven. The principle itself differs from the other seven in that it includes accountability. The resolution goes beyond simply approving the rather general language, it lays out both the reasons for adoption and specific commitments to act.
